The Full Story

When I was first born my parents were told that I was a completely healthy baby. It wasn't until I was around 18 months old that my parents began to notice something severely wrong with my skin. Now it is very common to see children being diagnosed with food allergies, eczema, and asthma, but in the early 2000's it was a difficult journey for my parents to find doctors who knew what they were dealing with. In the picture below I was almost 18 months old. I had to wear socks all the time to prevent me from scratching my skin.

For the future I envision myself becoming a Physician Assistant and specializing in pediatrics. Pediatric PAs can diagnose and provide treatment. My goal is to not only understand the patients but help parents understand their child's illness and provide treatment options.
