Sophia Del Valle Portfolio
Skills
I competed at A5 Volleyball Club from age groups 12-17. A5 is the #1 junior volleyball club in the nation for girls and boys. All while competing at a high level I maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout high school. At A5 I was surrounded by talented and hardworking girls who also had plans to continue their academic and athletic careers at the D1 level.
Growing up my parents had encouraged me to try out all sorts of things such as... ballet, piano, violin, chess, horseback riding, swimming, clarinet, track, and volleyball....
So what did this all teach me?
My Values
Teamwork
Perseverance
Communication
Adaptability

When you are a part of a team it's important that you can communicate with your teammates. Volleyball is a sport that revolves around communication and adaptability. Perseverance is something that has been a part of all of my experiences. During my freshman year of college, I ruptured my Achilles in the first 10 points of a crucial conference game. For the following nine months after my injury and surgery I was persistant with my recovery process and was able to return and compete as a starter for PCVB.
